I've had it done- no sweat. In most cases you're awake through the whole thing. I actually don't know anyone who's ever been put to sleep for wisdom teeth removal. I've had all mine removed. It's so easy- in the Marine Corps you only get one day off from work after the pulling. Sure it's sore later, but you get pain pills, and of all the 'surgeries', this is cake.

I had all 4 of mine removed at once..they were all impacted. They do put you under. Make sure and ask them to save one of the teeth for you! Kind of neat to see what you had in there. Bigger than you'd think. Good luck and speedy recovery!
